May 28, 2025Mauliola Pharmacy: Taking the Time for Your Health
At a time when Mom & Pop type businesses are ceasing to exist on Maui, a new local pharmacy emerges offering their time and knowledge just for you. Only open a short-time before the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mauliola Pharmacy is gaining the love and respect of the local community. The main reason? They not only integrate traditional medicines with western medicines; they make time for you.
So, when we at the Maui AIDS Foundation were determined to hold a vaccination event at Maui PRIDE 2025 on June 14 th in Wailuku Town, we called Cory Lehano, the Pharmacist Owner Proprietor, and Tori Ching, the Chief Operating Officer. We are very pleased to announce that “they are all in” with this new collaboration!
The alignment in agency values and services is amazing. Mauliola’s philosophy is to create a “holistic” approach to health by offering a balance between modern and traditional medicine, also incorporating spiritual practices in healing. The Maui AIDS Foundation uses an integrated approach that incorporates clinical testing and treatment with case management, prevention, and harm reduction education. Both agencies “meet people where they are at” with consideration to the patient’s personal value system.
Maui PRIDE 2025 is on Saturday, June 14th, from 3-8pm. Market Street will be blocked off for traffic, and there will be tents filled with vendor goodies, food trucks, Market Street businesses, and entertainment. AND NOW… FREE VACCINATION SERVICES will be available for the following vaccines: Mpox, Hepatitis B (HBV), Human Papillomavirus Virus (HPV), Shingrix (Shingles), and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
“We are beyond grateful to Mauliola Pharmacy for their kokua for this event.” Maui AIDS
Foundation Executive Director, Linda Puppolo.
